Denis Forkas Kostromitin was born in the town of Kamyshin, Russia on the river Volga. Kostromitin studied Greek and Egyptian mythology and mysticism in depth as a young man. These occult and esoteric studies slowly lead Kostromitin to a unique painterly approach. Years spent in China learning under master painters helped him focus his works even more. His brush strokes are subtle yet meaningful like much of Asian line based art. Touching upon topics many modern schools of thought have abandoned Kostromitin informs the viewer of ancient rites, magic and ritual.
Denis Forkas Kostromitin latest works have been featured, to much acclaim, on metal albums, such as Behemoth's massive Satanist record and many others. These works of extreme music seem to echo his approach well. The artist currently lives and works in Moscow as a full time artist.
